Mental health is just as important as physical health, and Kuato Studios is launching a wellness app for kids that caters to both.

Well-Beings is a free, educational app created to encourage kids to be present and mindful of how they are feeling, which is a great practice to incorporate into your stay-at-home routines during this COVID-19 pandemic.

The app features an interactive call to action for kids to determine how they are feeling, with a variety of options that include happy, sad, creative, active, curious, and worried. The program will make suggestions on different tasks that kids can do based on their emotions. There are more than 100 mood-boosting and motivational tasks ranging from physical activities, crafts, artwork, and music to help kids relax and practice mindfulness.

For example, the app might suggest for kids to collect 10 things that are smaller than a mouse, asking if they can hold them in their hands all at once. This will encourage active play and creative thinking as kids go on a treasure hunt around their house.

The tasks have no time limits so that kids can complete them at their own pace, without the feeling of racing against a clock. At the end of each task, kids will unlock a “well being.” As kids complete more tasks, their collection of well beings will grow, which they can view in their virtual sticker book.

Well-Beings is available for download starting today on the Apple app store and the Google play store. It is compatible with all iOS and Android devices.
