Beat the Camera is the new game from TOMY that asks kids to move … when the camera isn’t watching! The basic game features a gemstone and a camera, and is similar to other freeze games that many kids will already be familiar with.
To play, kids can place the gemstone where players can see it. Then, players get in position. The camera will play sounds as kids try to get closer to the gemstone, and they’ll need to freeze quickly when the sounds stop! If the camera spots a player move, it will sound an alarm and that player is out of the game. Whoever manages to grab the gem without being spotted is the winner.
Games can get even more exciting if one player hides the gemstone and then all the other players have to try to find it while also avoiding detection. Suddenly every kid is a treasure hunter playing a game of hide and seek, searching for the gem while trying to avoid notice from the camera. Kids can play in a group or solo, so any number of kids can have a fun activity to keep them entertained.
