Good afternoon, fellow Neopians. If you’ve been feeding your Neopets and collecting your daily bank interest like I’ve been doing for the past 20 years (Millionaire Mega-Platinum right here), you may have already noticed that neopets.com has gotten a modern-day revamp over the weekend. If you haven’t logged in since the ‘90s, then your Neopet is probably on the brink of death and you need to go figure out your password ASAP.

The Neopets website, owned by JumpStart, is beginning the open beta rollout of a mobile-friendly neopets.com to make it easier for players to check in on their virtual pets, play games, and earn Neopoints (NP) on the go. The website revamp will keep the same vibes and tone of the original game, with the addition of new features that make it easier for users to play on their mobile devices. Yes, this means you’ll be able to play Hasee Bounce and Turmac Roll ON YOUR PHONE!

Millennials can introduce the nostalgic game — which was created in 1997 — to younger members of their families, teaching them how to play with and care for their Neopets, create and customize thousands of items, participate in daily activities and mini-games, and share and trade with friends.

Mystery Island is the first land to make the mobile-friendly switch, with a large portion of the land ready for action, including the Mystery Island Mystic, Tiki Tack Tombola, Mystery Island Harbour, the Haiku Generator, Techo Mountain, Techo Mountain Volcano, the Beach, the Cooking Pot, and the Deserted Tomb. If you’re looking for the Island Market, Mystery Island Kitchen, the Trading Post, Tiki Tours, or Training School on your phone, you’ll have to wait a little longer until those features are completed. In addition to Mystery Island, there are also updates on Ye Olde Fishing Vortex, and the addition of pet images within the pet care popup. There will be new customization options for fans to style and dress up their Neopets, too. You can also switch between beta mode and the classic website if you’re feeling overwhelmed and need the comforts of your childhood homepage.
