Disney Junior will launch three new episodes and a short-form interstitial series of its animated show, Mira, Royal Detective, this month to honor Asian Pacific American Heritage Month.

The cartoon series is about a young girl who travels throughout the magical, Indian-inspired kingdom of Jalpur solving mysteries after she is appointed to the role of royal detective. The new episodes will showcase the importance of family, food, and traditions.

The episodes will premiere the first three Fridays in May at 11 a.m. EDT/PDT on the Disney Channel. They will also be available on Disney Junior and DisneyNOW. Kunal Nayyar (The Big Bang Theory) and Rizwan Manji (Schitt’s Creek) will guest star in the episode debuting on Friday, May 15.

A new, short-form interstitial series, We’re on the Case, will also premiere this month. It tells the story of Mira and her mongoose friends, Mikku and Chikku, as they go on mystery-solving adventures that highlight the culture and heritage of India. The first short debuts today on the Disney Channel and Disney Junior, focusing on the peacock, the national bird of India.

Viewers can also get a behind-the-scenes look at the series’ Bollywood music video with choreographer Nakul Dev Mahajan on Disney Junior. Disney Channel will feature on-air interstitials throughout the month to introduce viewers to Leela Ladnier, the voice of Mira.
