For puzzle lovers and anyone who loves a good challenge, Brain Cheeser, by SmartGames is the perfect travel game for players ages 6 and up. This single-player game tests spatial abilities in a cute and portable way.
The game comes in a small, portable, spiral-bound booklet that buttons closed for easy storage. Inside, there are eight pieces of bright yellow magnetic “cheese” and six round magnetic chips with an image of a mouse on each one. The magnetic component makes the game travel-friendly and prevents the player from losing any of the pieces. The game board itself is a grid of 16 squares with circles numbered one through 24 scattered sporadically on the lines.
On the other side of the game board, there are two small booklets with 48 different arrangements ranging from “starter” to “master.” The player must arranges the magnetic pieces to match the arrangement shown in the booklet. It is then up to the player to fit the remaining pieces on the game board, without having the cheese pieces overlap the mice and without leaving half holes in the middle of the game board.
For the first couple of levels, this might seem like a feasible challenge, but the levels become more difficult as the player continues with the game. However, if you get stuck, the solution to each arrangement is at the end of the booklet.
