BAKOBA is a Danish reinvention of building blocks. The new construction toy is designed and developed to enhance a child’s imagination, creativity, and motor skills, allowing kids to build their own worlds and create their own adventures. It is different from other construction toys in that kids can built it in all directions.
A feature BAKOBA that makes BAKOBA unique from other building toys is that it can connect with other construction toys from leading toy brands, including those that most kids already own. There are no instructions, so kids can imagine up their creations right away and immediately start playing with the bricks, making everything from planes, cars, and ships; to airports and a castle.
The BAKOBA bricks and construction pieces are made from a non-toxic foam, which the Danish Environmental Protection Agency recommends for toy making. The foam is soft but sturdy enough for kids to build with it. Although the foam can be turned and twisted, it will eventually fit back to its original shape. It is quiet to play with, is water resistant, and can even be cleaned in the washing machine.
Kickstarter donations, converted from the Danish krone to the U.S. dollar, range from approximately $3 to $1,000, and prizes include a frisbee, various amounts of BAKOBA bricks and connection pieces, and the opportunity to meet the team in Copenhagen.
