Are you smarter than a fifth grader?
You may think you are, but now you can put your knowledge to the test with an interactive trivia game for the whole family.
Volley — a voice entertainment network — is teaming up with Metro Goldwyn Mayer (MGM) to create a game based on the Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader game show. Families can access the game on voice-activated devices, such as Amazon Echo and Fire TV, to feel like they are really competing on the set of the show.
In the game, contestants must answer questions taken directly from elementary school curriculums, starting with a first grade question. After each correct response, players will graduate to the next grade. Those who can answer the final fifth grade question correctly can prove that they are indeed smarter than a fifth grader.
The questions cover five popular school subjects: English, math, animal science, social studies, and U.S. geography. Contestants can either challenge themselves or play in teams. To begin, players can say “Alexa, play Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader” to an Amazon Echo device. Families can also subscribe to unlock the “Brainy Box” for more questions and subjects.
In addition to the Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader game, Volley’s game lineup also includes Song Quiz, a multiplayer game that challenges listeners to guess a song’s name and artist from a short sound snippet; and Yes Sire, a role-playing game in which the players take on the role of a ruling squire in a medieval kingdom.
