Amazon’s all-new Kindle Paperwhite Kids is designed with little readers in mind.
It doesn’t include the internet, games, or ads so kids can keep reading distraction-free. It’s also waterproof (say goodbye to accidental spills ruining storytime) and features a battery life of up to 10 weeks.
The Kindle includes a one-year subscription to Amazon Kids+, a kid-friendly cover, and a two-year worry-free guarantee. Amazon Kids+ offers access to thousands of books, including the latest hits and the classics parents might remember from their own childhoods.
Kids can get instant access to new releases, switch seamlessly between reading and listening, and look up words quickly to build their vocabulary. There are also achievement badges to help kids create reading goals and challenge themselves to learn more.
Parents can use the Parent Dashboard to track kids’ reading progress and will soon be able to set Bedtime mode to ensure kids aren’t reading their favorite books through the night (we’ve all been there).
The Kindler Paperwhite Kids is available for preorder now and will begin shipping on Oct. 27.
