Family-Friendly Alltruists Volunteer Kits | Source: Alltruists

While gathering around the fireplace or dinner table this holiday season, it’s important to think about how we can help others in need. The makers of the Alltruists kid-friendly volunteer boxes are offering families an engaging activity to complete together with a great message behind them.

Designed for kids ages 4-11, each eco-friendly Altruists volunteer box includes a set of craft tools, three activities, and mini-books explaining the theme of each box. Individual box themes include fighting homelessness, fighting hunger, saving the bees, and a new box that helps support refugee children. Inside of each Alltruists box is a QR code that further explains the background of the company’s nonprofit partners and the reasons they have to do the work they do, helping to explain topics like homelessness and the refugee crisis to younger kids. Each mini-book encourages families to learn, connect, act, give, and do more to help others.

Alltruists partnered with Miry’s List for the box that supports refugee children. Miry’s List is an organization dedicated to making refugee families feel comfortable and supported in their new communities. Inside the box, parents and kids will find the directions for crafting a welcome letter for refugee kids. Kids can use the activities included in the box to make an “All are welcome” sign for their own home, friendship bracelets, and writing their own family history, while learning more about what refugee families experience.

Individual boxes are available at alltruists.com for $55. If a box is purchased this Nov. 30 on Giving Tuesday, Alltruists will double the donation for each box purchased. Alltruists also offers monthly subscription services for families to continue learning and giving year-round. This Black Friday, each subscription purchased includes a free box for a friend. There will also be Cyber Monday sales to look out for!
