The Toy Insider Parent Advisory Board- The Search Is On!

If you are a mom or dad blogger with an eye for picking out the toys kids love, you could be part of The Toy Insider Parent Advisory Board!

For six years, the Toy Insider team has worked year round, scouting out the hottest toys for the holiday season. Our list is featured every holiday in Woman’s Day magazine and our toy picks have been showcased by our Toy Insider Mom, Laurie Schacht, on both local and national TV programs, such as The Today Show and CBS’ The Talk.

This year—for the first time ever—we are publishing a spring edition of the Toy Insider! As we gear up for our first spring toy selection process, we could think of no better time to add the voice of influential mom and dad bloggers to our team of toy testers.

Becoming Part of the Team

We are currently seeking four parent bloggers for a year-long commitment to join our very first Toy Insider Parent Advisory Board!

Parent Advisory members will be:

- Invited to our offices in New York City twice a year to preview the toys being considered for our spring and holiday guides. Travel stipend included.

- Involved in our toy selection process by voting on favorites and adding a “Parent Advisory Pick” badge to selected toys.

- Featured on a dedicated Parent Advisory page in digital editions of the 2012 spring and holiday Toy Insider. These issues reach over 40,000 subscribers in the toy licensing, retail and toy manufacturing community.

- Highlighted on thetoyinsider.com’s Parent Advisory page with picture, bio, personal blog, and social media links.

- Contributing their toy opinions to our official blog (compensation will be $40/per post)

- Fully promoted and supported by all Toy Insider social channels year round

{{REQUIREMENTS & APPLICATION}}

- At minimum, applicants must have one year blogging experience.

- When selected, board members are asked to announce their partnership to their readers on their blogs.

- Any and all posts on the participants’ blogs regarding the Toy Insider Parent Advisory Board must provide full disclosure in accordance to FTC guidelines.

- Board members must commit to submitting one original 400-500 word post per month on The Toy Insider® blog.

- Board members will be required to sign both an NDA and Non-compete form. The non-compete applies to online and print toy publications and does not apply to work done with manufacturers directly.

- Board members are asked to promote their Toy Insider posts through their social channels. Board members are also encouraged (though not required) to support other member’s posts as well.

Our application process is Pinteresting!
To apply for this opportunity, we are asking you to tell us which toys you would have selected as last years “hottest”, by creating your own “Toy Insider” Pinterest board filled with your top 5-10 picks from The Toy Insider 2011 Holiday (broken out by age on the right side of our home page). .

When complete, please fill out this short form.

Deadline for entry is midnight, March 19th.
