Winnie The Pooh is a classic favorite. How could you not love that “silly ol’ bear” and his cast of friends?

Last week we had the privileged of seeing an advance screening of Disney’s Winnie The Pooh – the 1st Winnie The Pooh featured animation film in over 35 years!

We saw the movie with my 6 year old son and 2 year old daughter who had been waiting anxiously ever since they started seeing the previews on TV- and we’ve all had Kean’s “Simple Things” stuck in our heads for weeks.

The film starts the Disney short “The Ballad Of Nessie.

The Balland Of Nessie tells the tale of Nessie the Loch Ness Monster and her best friend MacQuack the rubber duck’s tough journey to a place they now call home. Despite the false rumors that this was a “lost Disney short”, the film does have a classic feel to it and the story is heart warming.

The Winnie The Pooh Movie is just as whimsical and funny as the ones you remember watching on TV and of course, there is lots of honey involved.

While we were in the theater, the movie had all of the kids in the theater laughing in their seats at the silly predicaments the characters get into on their journey to save Christopher Robin from “The Backson” (a fictitious monster Owl creates after misinterpreting a note from Christopher Robin).

The movie is surprisingly short in comparison to many other children’s movies (just one hour), but really is the perfect length for younger and first time movie goers.

The Winnie The Pooh Movie hits theaters this Friday, July 15th!
