Anyone who grew up in a small town knows that Walmart is the best place to go to beat boredom, but now families can head there after dark for a new take on an old classic.
More than 160 Walmart parking lots will be transformed into drive-in movie theaters at various times from Aug. 14 to Oct. 21. Families can register online for free starting today at 5 p.m. EDT at thewalmartdrivein.com to get access to the silver screen from the safety of their vehicle.
Movies featured will be family-friendly classics and include inspiring sports stories, blockbuster franchises, sci-fi adventures, nostalgic faves, and so much more. Some of the stand-out titles are Space Jam, Black Panther, Spy Kids, Back to the Future, The Iron Giant, and Wonder Woman. Before each movie families will be able to catch a short film.
Drew Barrymore will be the virtual host each night and make an in-person appearance at one location. Families can also be on the lookout for Peter Berg, Jennifer Garner, LeBron James, or Chrissy Metz at select showings either virtually or IRL.
