The company collaborated with Toronto-based 6ix Academy, an inner-city business and arts program dedicated to social justice pursuits, for an all-new fashion illustration set. Recommended for kids ages 8 and up, the Truly You! Character Creator set is inspired by fashion design plates. Kids can mix characters with a variety of outfits on nine double-sided plates.
Kids can trace the character outlines with the black rubbing crayon and transfer the image over to a piece of paper. Then, they can color in and customize the character with the included colored pencils. Through hundreds of combinations, kids can create a variety of diverse identities with different interests.
The collection features six individuals, each with a character card that speaks to their unique identities and backgrounds. The characters include a young Indigenous fashion designer, a gender-fluid content creator, an astronaut aiming to boost the amount of Black women in STEM careers, a Paralympic athlete, a non-binary frontline healthcare worker, and a Muslim fashion and beauty influencer.
