Pac-Man Tamagotchi

Pac-Man Tamagotchi

The new Pac-Man Tamagotchi, from Bandai America, is here to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of Pac-Man by combining the iconic character with the Tamagotchi device. Pac-Man stars as a virtual pet character in the world of Tamagotchi.

Kids ages 8 and up can try to keep their virtual pet alive by nurturing it, similar to other Tamagotchis. This time, Pac-Man is there to help by saving the virtual pet from ghosts and bugs. Players can also feed their Tamagotchi Pac-Man’s favorite snack: cherries. Players can also choose from two fun mini-games: the Pac Game and the Catch Game.

Time will tell if the pet survives from egg to baby to adulthood. Any seasoned Tamagotchi owner knows there is some work involved in keeping those precious pets alive. Depending on how well kids can take care of their Pac-Man Tamagotchi character, they can potentially cycle through seven different virtual pets.

Fans can choose from two different Tamagotchi shell styles — yellow or black — as well as a deluxe version (above), which includes a Pac-Man case to protect the device.

Pac-Man Tamagotchi is available to preorder on amazon.com and will be available in retailers on March 15.
