Every year, Time names someone prominent as the “Person of the Year” — think of it as the original class of influencers. For the first time, the magazine is naming a “Kid of the Year” as well, with the help of Time for Kids and Nickelodeon.

Now through Aug. 1, anyone can nominate a kid (ages 8-16) who is helping to make the world a better place. Five honorees will be featured in a TV special hosted by Trevor Noah, airing on Nick and the CBS television network in December. One kid will be chosen as the Time Kid of the Year and featured on a cover of Time with a companion story in Time For Kids.

The Kid of the Year TV special will also feature entertainment, sports, and pop culture celebrities and musical performances. Each of the finalists will receive funds to further their respective causes and get the opportunity to serve as a kid reporter for Time for Kids with exclusive access to a Nickelodeon event.

If you have an inspirational kid in your life, nominate them now at kidoftheyear2020.com. Check out the video below for more details!
