Throw Throw Avocado joins the Throw Throw lineup as a new dodgeball card game for kids ages 7 and up. Players go head to head with opponents by collecting and matching cards while throwing and avoiding squishy avocados. If someone gets hit by an avocado, they lose points, and players can duel by flinging the squishy avocados between their legs at each other to determine the winner. This standalone sequel to Throw Throw Burrito features new gameplay, new battle cards, and a secret bonus game with another deck of cards that players can combine with the Throw Throw Burrito. Game to create a combo of both games.
Exploding Kittens is also expanding on its title franchise with Exploding Kittens: Recipes for Disaster, introducing 13 new ways to play the original explosive card game. The expansion features the ultimate collection of fan-favorite cards from the entire Exploding Kittens library in one box. Players can use the included recipe booklets to play Exploding Kittens in entirely new ways, such as a two-minute version of the game or “the most brutal version of the game ever created.” And if players commit the ultimate game crime — forgetting whose turn it is — they must wear the included Cone of Shame around their neck as a punishment. This is the seventh game in the Exploding Kittens franchise, which also includes Exploding Minions.
Throw Throw Avocado and Recipes for Disaster are both available at Target and explodingkittens.com for $24.99 each, and will launch at Walmart later this summer. Additionally, Exploding Kittens is also venturing into jigsaw puzzles featuring original art by The Oatmeal and the Exploding Kittens team. Look for adorable kittens and other characters from the Exploding Kittens franchises in the new puzzles, available on Amazon and explodingkittens.com starting on Aug. 24.
