Valentine’s Day is a great time to get crafting with the kids, especially if you are looking for something to do on a snow day! Crafts don’t have to be overly complicated or take a lot of time to be fun. In fact, you may have a more successful crafting session with the kids if the project doesn’t take a long time. They may even ask to make more!

These Valentine’s Day crafts are not only great for the kids to make to hand out to their classmates, they are great classroom activities for the upcoming Valentine’s Day classroom party. So get the kids crafting for Valentine’s Day with these two easy activities:

Chocolate Kiss Rings

This is a great craft for kids who want to give gifts to their classmates or to a group of friends, but you don’t have a lot of time and/or money to do so.  All you need are some wrapped candies, such as Hershey Kisses, and pipe cleaners to make these Chocolate Kiss Rings.

After some twisting and wrapping, you have fun Chocolate Kiss Rings that are perfect for the Valentine’s Day classroom party. My six-year old thought these were the coolest thing ever!

Easy Marshmallow Pops

Cake pops might be all the rage, but they are also time consuming and messy. Skip the hassle (and mess) and make Marshmallow Pops instead.

You’ll need large marshmallows, chocolate melting wafers, pop sticks (or paper straws), and decorative sprinkles. Melt the chocolate wafers according to the package. Once melted, dip your marshmallows in the chocolate and then in the sprinkles. Let dry and enjoy! You can could package these with plastic treat bags to hand out to the kids at a school party, or just enjoy them at home for a special dessert.

Marshmallow pops are great for every season and party. You can get creative with your decorative sprinkles to match your theme or party scheme!
