UnitedFamily has created a new world of superheroes to help inspire kids to practice virtuous behavior, overcome challenges, and making the world a better place. They have combined this idea with something effortless that kids already understand: the world of smartphones, tablets, games, and apps. This product uses augmented technology to connect kids with a virtual world and the stories of the superheroes, who team-up with kids.
The Virtuals live in a parallel world and each helps protect the universe using their unique superpowers such as Joy, Generosity, Compassion, Perseverance, and Patience. Each character will have its own card, wall decal, t-shirt, and augmented reality games. The characters will cross over into our world to engage kids with 3D games and stories that highlight virtues.
Each product is compatible with The Virtuals app, which will be free to all Kickstarter backers for iOS, Android, and Windows devices. As kids play with their superheroes and learn about virtues, the Virtuals gain power-ups and unlock powers and features in the app. The mobile app uses the three physical products— card, wall decal, and t-shirt—to incorporate 3D elements into the real world environment.
Kickstarter donations range from $7 to $ 1,600 CAD and prizes include the t-shirts, cards, and wall decals that go with the characters and a custom Virtuals character.
