Even if you can’t make it to a Disney theme park this year, you can live vicariously through your Sims with a new expansion pack inspired by Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disney World and Disneyland.
Electronic Arts, Maxis, and Lucasfilm announced that The Sims 4 Star Wars: Journey to Batuu Game Pack is heading to PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 systems in September, giving players an outlet to create their own Star Wars story in video game form.
In the game, players will be able to leave their homes to travel to the remote planet of Batuu (this is what Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is modeled after), where they can visit the Millennium Falcon and Oga’s Cantina, interact with characters like Rey and Kylo Ren, own their own lightsabers and customizable droids, and embark on exciting space missions. The actions Sims take will lead to control of the Black Spire Outpost. Sims can choose to support Rey and Vi Moradi as part of the Resistance, pledge loyalty to the First Order under Kylo Ren, or focus on gaining credits with Hondo Ohnaka and the scoundrels. Like other The Sims games, players will have the chance to unlock new artifacts and one-of-kind clothing — but this time it will be Star Wars themed.
This is not the first time The Sims has dipped its toes into Star Wars waters. Earlier this year, The Sims Mobile featured a special “May the 4th” quest that unlocked in-game Star Wars items for players, including character outfits and a household statue of The Child.
The Sims 4 Star Wars: Journey to Batuu Game Pack is rated T for Teen and will launch on Sept. 8 for $19.99.
