Monopoly: Dr. Seuss | Source: The Op

“The sun did not shine. It was too wet to play. So we sat in the house. All that cold, cold, wet day.” Rainy days call for fun games inside, like the new Dr. Seuss games and puzzles from The Op.

There are three new activities to choose from, including a wacky, new edition of the classic game of Monopoly and two colorful Dr. Seuss puzzles.

Multiple generations can get together to enjoy Monopoly: Dr. Seuss as 2-6 players buy, sell, and trade locations named after nostalgic Dr. Seuss books such as The Cat in the Hat, Green Eggs and Ham, The Lorax, and more. Players can set up libraries and bookstores to secure their valuable works as they travel around the board with tokens of iconic story objects, like the Cat’s hat, a fish, a shoe, a Christmas Tree, green (but actually silver) eggs and ham, and ABC letters.

In this version of the board game, the chance cards are renamed “explore” cards, the community chest cards are renamed “discover” cards, houses are turned into flowers, and hotels are actually trees. Stack up Dr. Seuss character-faced currency and be the last player with cash to win. The game is recommended for kids ages 8 and up. Get it here for $44.99.

To quote the Cat in the Hat, “But that is not all. Oh no. That is not all!” There are two Dr. Seuss puzzles to choose from, both containing 1,000 pieces each. The Merry Grinchmas puzzle features the mischievous Grinch sneaking out of a fireplace to snatch gifts, based on How the Grinch Stole Christmas. The Dr. Seuss Collection puzzle features a mosaic of nine Dr. Seuss book covers, including Green Eggs and Ham, The Lorax, The Cat in the Hat, and more. Both puzzles are recommended for kids ages 9 and up and are available here for $17.99 each.
