“Do you want to build a snowman?” is a question kids of all ages have been singing all year ‘round, based on the popular song in Disney Frozen, and with the new Frozen line from Build-a-Bear Workshop, kids can–quite literally–build Olaf the snowman.
Making a stuffed friend at Build-a-Bear was one of my fondest memories as a kid, and bringing the ice-cold magic of Frozen to the store will surely inspire similar memories for kids today. Olaf, the sweet and comical unsung hero of the movie, is one of my favorite characters. The plush Olaf looks just like he does in the film, with his oversized nose, bucktooth, and uneven buttons. Since– as we all know– he likes warm hugs, kids can snuggle their soft and cuddly new friend anywhere.
Adorable accessories are available for purchase separately to complete Olaf in his “Dreaming of Summer” outfit, including cool black sunglasses, a sun hat, and a signature beach style shirt (it wouldn’t be an Olaf shirt if it didn’t feature a bunch of scenes of the snowman himself basking in the sun).
In true Build-a-Bear fashion, kids can add sounds to Olaf so they can hear lovable phrases, sound effects, and songs. Three Frozen-themed songs are can be purchased for the bears, including the hit song “Let It Go,” “For the First Time in Forever,” and Olaf’s anthem, “In Summer.”
The other two endearing bears in the line are based off of the leading siblings in the movie, Elsa and Anna. The Elsa bear has shimmering white fur and has signature Disney and Elsa logos on her paws, while the Anna bear’s fur is purple and similarly has Disney and Anna logos on her paws. Additional accessories, like their signature royal dresses, shoes, and wigs can be purchased separately. And, best of all, if your kid already has a bear that he or she loves, then you can just buy the different outfits available.
