Get your frying pans ready! Disney announced that a Tangled animated series will debut on the Disney Channel in 2017.
All of your favorite Tangled characters are back, including Rapunzel and Flynn Rider (aka Eugene), of course, as well as Maximus (hooray!!), Pascal the sassy chameleon, and those thugs from the Snuggly Duckling Pub. The great thing about this Disney Channel film-to-TV conversion is that the series will reunite some of the original talent. Mandy Moore and Zachary Levi—Rapunzel and Eugene, respectively—are on board to voice the series, which will also showcase new songs from Academy Award-winning composer Alan Menken and lyricist Glenn Slater.
Very excited for new adventures AND music! Ready to jump back in, @ZacharyLevi? https://t.co/IbxwARLNsT

The series will also feature a brand new character, Cassandra, who is described as “a tough-as-nails handmaiden, who becomes Rapunzel’s confidant,” because everyone needs a BFF who tells it like it is.
The series will take place in between the events of the feature film (2010) and the short film Tangled Ever After (2012), covering all of the adventures that Rapunzel and Eugene had between the two films.
