Its-a MORE Mario!
LEGO introduced its new Super Mario line back in March, a collection of construction sets kids can use to build levels inspired by the Super Mario series. Then kids can play the levels, collecting coins with an electronic, interactive Mario figure.
Now, kids can enhance their Super Mario LEGO play with Power-Up packs. Each of these four suits — Fire Mario, Propeller Mario, Cat Mario, and Builder Mario — gives the figure extra abilities. For example, when wearing the Cat Mario suit (pictured above), the character can climb up vertical obstacles and collect coins. He will also meow and purr, just for fun.
To use the suits and gain these new abilities, kids simply snap the themed pants and hat onto the interactive Mario figure — no extra batteries required!
The Power-Up packs will be available starting on Aug. 1. Each suit is sold separately for $9.99.
