The Story Pirates are off on another harrowing quest, and you get to follow along!
Based on the popular Story Pirates middle-grade book series, the latest novel takes the protagonists on an enchanting journey when a powerful crystal crown was stolen from magic-wielding Lysors. Authors Annabeth Bondor-Stone and Connor White bring kid Angie Ortiz’s original idea to life, accompanied by images by Joe Todd Stanton.
The imaginative The Story Pirates Present: Quest for the Crystal Crown also serves as an introduction to creative writing for kids to create their own fantasy story, just like Ortiz.
“We’re so honored to bring Angie’s original idea to fruition,” said authors Bondor-Stone and White in a statement. “Kids have the best ideas. They truly have the imaginative power to create real works of art. We hope this story inspires readers to write their own fantasy novels.”
The novel will be available beginning Feb. 11 from Penguin Random House.
