There’s no doubt that the coolest part of every spy film is the gadgets that the spies get to play with. The James Bonds, Kim Possibles, and Perry the Platypuses of the cinematic universe have a lot of exciting ways to play. Now, kids don’t have to join the M.I.6., C.I.A., or another organization with a cool acronym. NSI International is bringing the gadgets right to them — all they need is three AAA batteries and an imagination!

Spybots are a line of security robots that can help kids discover who’s been stealing the last cookie, what Mom and Dad are planning for their birthday, and more. There are four robots in the line, each with its own special ability. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to decide which of the four is the best (or just get them all).

The Room Guardian keeps out unwelcome intruders. Kids choose a secret code and attach it to their door. If someone gets the password wrong — or doesn’t enter it at all — the guardian sounds his alarm and flashes bright lights. It should be noted that while it may keep out big sisters and little problems, it will not actually lock the door. We don’t recommend replacing your home security system with the Room Guardian, but it’s got the lock on pretend fun.

Every great spy-venture features a laser tripwire. The Spybot T.R.I.P.P. brings the classic obstruction home! It sounds a screeching alarm when an intruder crosses its “wire” and then chases them down. Kids can place it in front of the fridge with that last slice of cake in it to keep it safe. It’s also fun for a unique game of hide and seek, where the seeker can’t get caught either! Spotbot could also work for that hide and seek game. It notices movements and when someone comes across its path, it shines a bright searchlight and drives around to catch the bad guys.

With RoboEar, kids can monitor conversations up to 100 feet away. They place it in an inconspicuous location and wait for an unsuspecting person to spill their secrets. Watch out for this one, parents, they could listen in on your conversations with Santa about their presents!

There’s no mystery in why these bots appeal to kids! We spy great times ahead.
