Halloween is one of our favorite times of the year. We love costumes, pumpkins, ghosts, and ghouls. We also love anything pumpkin flavored: pumpkin lattes, pumpkin pie, and pumpkin donuts. So much deliciousness! Plus, there are a lot of amazing destinations that are extra spooky this time of year.

Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Orlando Resort

If you like super-spooky destinations, then Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Orlando Resort is perfect for you. Universal Studios hosts this special event on select nights through October. This park has haunted houses and scare zones. Halloween Horror Nights have themed houses, including Stranger Things, Ghostbusters, and Killer Klowns from Outer Space. You can even get Halloween-inspired beverages and snacks throughout the park.

Halloween Horror Nights is one of the most popular Halloween events, but it is very scary. This event is recommended for older teens and adults.

Halloween on the High Seas

For a more family-friendly Halloween event, how about a Disney Cruise? Disney hosts Halloween cruises called Halloween on the High Seas. You can take a three-, four-, or even seven-night Disney Cruise with this special event. You can cruise around the world with this not-so-spooky event.

Halloween on the High Seas includes trick-or-treating, pumpkin tree storytelling, a Mousequerade party with Mickey Mouse and friends, and Halloween decorations throughout the ship. Don’t forget your Halloween costumes! This Halloween event is the perfect mix of Halloween and family travel.

LEGOLAND Brick-or-Treat

Another fun Central Florida event is LEGOLAND Brick-or-Treat. This Halloween event is perfect for younger kids. You can meet your favorite LEGO characters, such as Lord Vampyre or Rockin’ Frankenstein. Your little ghosts can wander the Brick-or-Treat Trail for trick or treating. To end your evening of Halloween fun, you can watch the fireworks show. You will see fireworks transform into LEGO bricks.

This Halloween event is on weekends throughout October. The best news is it is included with your regular admission into LEGOLAND Park.

New Orleans in Louisiana

One of my favorite destinations in America is New Orleans, which is considered the most haunted city in the U.S. This makes it the perfect spooky destination. You can take a ghost tour in the French Quarter, explore one of the incredible above-ground cemeteries, or grab a beignet at midnight from Cafe du Monde. Our family loves New Orleans, but during the Halloween season, it is extra spooky.

These are just a few of our favorite spooky places to visit. Do you have a favorite Halloween destination?
