Spookley the Square Pumpkin, a new two-disc DVD and CD set from Cinedigm, is based on Joe Troiano’s best-selling book and will arrive in stores on September 10. For more than a decade, the animated Spookley TV special has been viewed by many families during the Halloween season, and now it will be available on DVD, featuring exclusive value adds, a 16-song CD sing-along, and five video picture books. In the world where Spookley lives, the only good pumpkins are round pumpkins, but Spookley is not round–he’s square. He is often teased for his odd shape but is befriended by Edgar, Allan, and Poe. These three, hilarious spiders convince Spookley that, square or not, he has a right to be the “pick of the patch” on Halloween.
