Spookley the Square Pumpkin is bringing the Halloween spirit to even more people with Holiday Hill Farm’s plans to expand the distribution of videos and music featuring the character.
The original movie Spookley the Square Pumpkin was based on the book The Legend of Spookley the Square Pumpkin by Joe Troiano. It featured the first animated appearance of the character Spookley, an unusually square pumpkin that has to deal with issues like bullying and feeling different. If your kids haven’t seen it, the movie is making a return to Disney Junior for October and is also available on Netflix.
The original movie had its own soundtrack and Spookley also made appearances in a number of music videos and shorts. These music videos feature Spookley and friends singing about concepts such as colors, friendship, and doing the right thing.
While the Spookley songs were previously featured on YouTube, they’re now becomign even more widely available as 31 songs from various Spookley albums make their way to music streaming services such as Apple Music, Spotify, and Amazon Music. This means that kids don’t have to have a video screen at the ready to enjoy songs like “Everyday is a Holiday” and “Spookley and the Christmas Kittens.”
