Calling all singers, musicians, and Slinky lovers! After 75 years, Slinky is on the hunt for a new jingle.
In celebration of National Slinky Day, Just Play launched a new sound for the iconic walking spring toy and asked fans to join in by remixing the sound in its search for a new Slinky jingle. Kids and families are invited to create the coolest, grooviest, most Slinky-fied sound they can for a chance to win an ultimate prize pack and be featured in a national ad campaign.
Slinky has also taken to the digital streets to get the word out — kids can find Slinky’s new profile (@original_slinky) on TikTok and Instagram. Its social media campaign begins today with a 30-second video across its social media platforms. The video combines old archival footage with new imagery of adults playing with Slinkys, and then redirects kids to Slinky’s SoundCloud page, where they can access the original Slinky jingle to create their own tune, along with an example remix.
The best part? There are multiple chances to win! Kids and families who post a new Slinky sound with the hashtag #SlinkyRemix and tag the brand (@original_slinky) are entered to win a Slinky Swag Pack, containing a variety of Slinky toys and gear. Plus, one new remix will get an ultimate prize pack and the national ad campaign feature. Time to get playing — what will your jingle sound like?
