A lot of kids who look forward to summer camp all year long are feeling let down after COVID-19 put a damper on this year’s festivities. SiriusXM is here to help with a virtual summer camp, called Camp KPL.
The virtual program will offer a series of at-home summer camp activities and projects, upbeat family-friendly music, and more, beginning on Monday, June 1. SiriusXM’s Kids Place Live hosts will lead online activities, take call-ins from listeners who can tell their favorite jokes, and feature a daily storytime.
Kids Place Live host Absolutely Mindy will host a segment of Mindy’s missions, which will give kids ideas for fun daily tasks that they can do at home, rain or shine. Listeners can also hear kids’ musicians and outdoor experts The Okee Dokee Brothers sing songs and share ideas for safe summertime activities, such as cleaning up a neighborhood park, birdwatching, picnicking, and more. The program will also feature a segment called “At-Home Challenges with Guinness World Records,” giving families a chance to beat world records at home. Once kids tire themselves out, parents can tune into “Instant Naptime,” a five-hour loop of lullaby songs curated by Kids Place Live.
SiriusXM is now offering a special in which new subscribers will get four months free. Visit siriusxm.com for more details.
