Sago Sago appFact: All little kids love big trucks, larger-than-life machines, and everything associated with them.

Sago Sago captures this fascination with its new app Sago Mini Trucks and Diggers. For little ones ages 2 and up, this app lets kids put on their imaginary construction hats to build and decorate homes for new friends.

Rosie the hamster is a little purple critter in an orange construction hat, who serves as the perfect mascot taking kids along a building-filled journey. Her job is to make sure things run smoothly on the construction sites, while kids are the real foremen in charge. The other characters in the app are similarly animated and friendly, making fun noises as kids interact with—or take a break from—the app. For example, when kids stop playing for a moment, the animals make sleeping noises or whistle.

In the app, kids first choose one of six different homes to build. They can build a castle (my personal favorite), mushroom, barn, or other designs. Then, they get to choose from one of six different vehicles to fill Rosie’s dump truck with messy, goopy dirt, including everything from a spinning machine to a crane. The interface is perfect for little hands to play with, featuring easy movements such as tapping and swiping for kids to complete the new home.

Kids will be able to move the piles of dirt back and forth as many times as they want—all while encountering silly surprises on the way! When kids are done collecting the dirt, Rosie will drive her dump truck to the build site. She will make four trips for the home to be completely built.

The app has no in app purchasing or third-party advertising—a feature that parents will appreciate—and does not require Wi-Fi to play, so kids will be able to play on the go and without any interruptions.

Once the home is built, kids can customize it, decorate it, and choose a color for it. (The only thing that would make this app better is if I could actually live in the castle in real life, but I’ll take what I can get for now.) With Sago Mini Trucks and Diggers, kids’ imaginations will come to life.
