Though many families’ vacation plans have been thwarted due to COVID-19 travel restrictions, kids can still bring the world right to their living rooms with the Ryan’s World World Tour Hot Air Balloon from Bonkers Toys.
Kids ages 3 and up can embark on a globetrotting adventure with Ryan and friends from around the world by opening up the air balloon-shaped capsule. Adults may need to help twist up the top of the blue globe, which detaches from the bottom of the basket. Inside are 12 mystery micro figures, flag and character stickers, a passport book, and a special code for the Tag with Ryan app.
The passport book reveals every collectible figurine from the Ryan’s World Tour microverse. There are more than 75 Ryan’s World Tour characters with themed clothing, flags, and stickers based on different countries from every continent around the world. The passport lists the countries and their respective figurines in alphabetical order from Algeria to Wales. Most of the characters are different versions of Ryan and his family members, but there are also funky anthropomorphic pals created in the likeness of Ryan’s World characters, such as Combo Panda, Alpha Lexa, Big Gil, Gus the Gummy Gator, and Peck.
Each figurine is either dressed in cultural clothing, sporting their country’s flag, carrying items specific to that region, or are animals native to that country. For instance, the Greek Ryanocules figurine features the traditional tunic, robes, and sandals from Ancient Greece, along with an olive wreath laurel. The British Columbia figurine is an orca wearing Canada’s signature red-and-white colors. Some countries have multiple figurines, including the U.S., Australia, Canada, and Japan.
Kids can cut and remove the figurine and flag stickers from the provided sticker sheets and paste them into their Ryan’s World World Tour passport in order to keep track of their travel progress. They can also load up some of their characters into the air balloon basket and “tour” different areas of the house for an imaginative play experience. The Ryan’s World World Tour Hot Air Balloon helps inspire and unleash their inner cosmopolite.
This gamecard includes a special code that kids can use to join Ryan on his world tour in the Tag with Ryan app. Once the code is redeemed, kids will receive a Road Trip prize to unlock new characters within the game, which is available for download on the App Store and Google Play.
