It is made of sturdy plastic and is extra durable, so accidentally bumping it into a wall (or five—oops) will not leave a scratch on it. Half of all my appreciation for this car is in the impeccable details. From top to bottom, this car is constructed just like the real thing, down to the Ferrari symbols on the car doors to the detailing on the back. The tri-channel feature on the transmitter allows for people to play with up to three separate cars in the same range, so kids can race each other without worrying about frequencies being confused.
This car knows speed. The first time I took it out for a spin, I was pleasantly shocked at how fast it was going. While the wheels are moving, the only thing you see are the red brake calipers, signature to Ferrari cars in real life, an extra detail that will please all car enthusiasts. One of my favorite parts about this car are the lights. When the car is moving forward, its headlights will shine bright, and when it’s going backward, its tail lights will also turn on.
The LaFerrari powers up with batteries, so it’s easy to pop in some fresh ones when they run out, so you don’t have to wait for it to charge. Once you’re done playing, you can leave it on a shelf for display.
