Sometimes all you need is a boost of inspiration. Rebel Girls — the multi-platform empowerment brand dedicated to giving young girls confidence — is releasing a book titled Rebel Girls Champions: 25 Tales of Unstoppable Athletes later this month to inspire kids to dream big.
Rebel Girls Champions is meant to inspire, celebrate, and empower kids through the stories of 25 extraordinary athletes, such as Allyson Felix, Michelle Kwan, Marta Vieira da Silva, Ariarne Titmus, Chloe Kim, Ishita Malaviya, and Simone Biles. The book includes inspiring stories from Tokyo following the 2021 Olympic Summer Games and the text is paired with colorful, full-page portraits created by female and nonbinary artists from around the world. Readers will also find activities at the end of the book that encourages them to share their own stories and determine what kind of champion they are.
The book includes a personal foreword from Olympian Ibtihaj Muhammad around being the hero of your own story and using confidence and dedication to change the narrative that may prevent you from dreaming big. Muhammad is also one of the subjects in volume four of another book, Good Night Stories for Rebel Girls: 100 Real-Life Tales of Black Girl Magic, available for preorder now.
Rebel Girls Champions: 25 Tales of Unstoppable Athletes is available now for preorder on rebelgirls.com and will be available for purchase on Sept. 21 for $8.99.
