Young Pokémon trainers, be the very best! The Pokémon Co. is releasing a new edition of the Pokémon Trading Card Game Battle Academy board game.
The game first launched in 2020 as the first board game adaptation of the popular Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG). The purpose of the board game was to bridge the learning gap for players who were new to Pokémon TCG by providing step-by-step instruction and visual guides to get players accustomed to the gameplay (Read our full review here!). The new edition of the Pokémon TCG Battle Academy does the same, but also introduces the Pokémon V gameplay mechanic and adds more fan-favorite Pokémon to the board game adaptation, including Pikachu, Eevee, and Cinderace.
Designed for kids ages 6 and up, the game includes three 60-card Pokémon TCG decks, a game board, tutorial guides for beginners, a rulebook for advanced players, and accessories to enhance the game. The cards and accessories are fully compatible with all standard Pokémon TCG products to give them even more play value.
