The company previously announced that remakes of Pokémon Diamond Version and Pokémon Pearl Version were on the way as it prepared for the release of Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Pokémon Shining Pearl. Pokémon fans can get excited for a reimagining of the 2006 video games because both games are scheduled for a Nov. 19 release date, priced at $59.99 each.
The Sinnoh region will come back to life on the Nintendo Switch, as will the original storyline from both games. But, as revealed in February, the plot doesn’t end here: Like many great stories, Pokémon has planned a prequel for the history of Sinnoh.
Pokémon Legends: Arceus will hit stores on Jan. 28 next year, and will feature not only a new story, but also entirely new gameplay. Players can fuse action with RPG as they explore the beginnings of Sinnoh and track down the origins of its Pokédex. Brand-new cover art reveals the gorgeous Mount Coronet towering over the vast expanse of the Sinnoh region. Kids can go wild in the wilds of Sinnoh by surveying, researching, and capturing as many Pokémon as they can, or stray from civilization and observe Pokémon in their true habitat.
Pokémon HOME is also getting an upgrade. Trainers will receive the new ability to view their best catches from all angles, giving everyone a better look at their Pokémon. Players can use the Catch Calendar as a new option to sort and view Pokémon by their capture date.
Whether trainers want to hike up Mount Coronet and explore the origins of Sinnoh or relive their favorite memories from Nintendo DS classics, this upcoming winter is looking promising for all Pokémon players!
