Pokémon characters have always been a little looney — and they’re looking extra Looney Tunes in a new “Pokétoon” animated short.
The Pokémon Kids TV YouTube channel released a four-minute video produced by Yoshiyuki Koie and directed by Taku Inoue, called “Chase the Beans.” The short opens up with a nod to the classic Looney Tunes cartoon intro, announcing it as “Pokétoon: a Pokémon Cartoon Animation.”
The video features Pokémon characters Scraggy (aka Zuruggu in Japanese) and Mimikyu (aka Mimikkyu in Japanese) set to old-timey music and sound effects, with no dialogue.
