Attention Pokémon fans: Pokémon is expanding its animated content with a new series!

Today, as part of the ongoing celebration of its 25th anniversary, the Pokémon Company International announced a new, limited, animated series called Pokémon Evolutions. The show will take viewers on a journey through all the known regions of the Pokémon world. This series will have something for Pokémon fans both young and old — the show will focus on previous and familiar tales from Pokémon lore, retold from a new perspective.

Every episode focuses will focus on a different region of the Pokémon world, in reverse chronological order from when they were first introduced in the Pokémon video games. The show starts in the Galar region, recently explored in the video games Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield, and will finish in the Kanto region, which players first explored in Pokémon Red and Pokémon Green back in 1996. In between, the episodes will revisit the Alola, Kalos, Unova, Sinnoh, Hoenn, and Johto regions.
