Playmobil takes the building blocks of fun out into the wilderness for some pretend outdoor playtime.

The Playmobil Camping Lodge presents a getaway cabin play set for kids ages 4 and up to build and play with using their imagination. The set comes with four Playmobil people figures, tiny kitchenware and food items, and various camping accessories, such as a campfire grill and an archery bull’s eye. The constructible cabin also features a pretend kitchen, five beds against the wall, and even a tiny outhouse and washroom in the back.

The coolest feature on the Camping Lodge has to be the zipline. The start of the line can be hooked and fastened onto any edge up to 1.5 inches tall and the string that connects the slide to the cabin stretches almost 18 inches in length. Any of the figures—helmets equipped, of course—can grab on to the special cable handle and kids can send their Playmobil figures sliding straight down on a smooth path down to the lodge.

The Camping Lodge comes with very clear instructions, so kids will have an easy time putting it together. There are certain pieces that require a little extra force to attach, and the string for the zipline must be tied securely to its hooks, so parents and caregivers can help their kids get through these harder steps. Pieces such as the camp accessories and kitchenware may be small enough for kids to lose, so be sure to keep everything in the play set relatively close to each other. A good tip would be to store the tiny utensils in the small plastic boxes included in the set, so they stay in one place when they’re not in use.

Kids can develop their creativity in many ways with the Camping Lodge. Putting it together can help them understand how things work, and kids can come up with their own pretend stories for their figures to utilize their imaginations.

The Playmobil Camping Lodge brings the fun of the great outdoors into any child’s home.
