With film releases changing left and right, Disney and Pixar are still offering a fun family movie night by making their latest film, Onward, available to stream starting today.

Although the movie was only released on March 6, Onward has moved up its digital release and is now available to download for $19.99, beginning today at 8 p.m. EST. The animated adventure will be released on Disney+ on April 3 in the U.S.

Onward is the latest film to change distribution tactics given the uncertain state of cinema amid COVID-19. Movie theaters worldwide have shut down, while ongoing film productions, upcoming releases, and film festivals have been put on hold or canceled indefinitely. For many of us, that means streaming is the way to go.

Onward tells the story of teenage brothers and elves Ian and Barley Lightfoot who discover a magical staff that can bring back their deceased father — but only for 24 hours. The film currently maintains an 87% critic score and 95% audience score on rottentomatoes.com.
