While the holidays are in full swing, so is Nintendo! This week is full of news from the video game company, including contests, sales, new games, and more!
First off, the Inside the House of Indies holiday event is highlighting the latest indie video games available on Nintendo Switch, including Sail Forth, Mortal Shell: Complete Edition, and Sonority. The Inside the House of Indies event is taking place until tomorrow, Dec. 23, but you can check out all the highlighted games here.
Nintendo has a few surprises up its sleeve for the drop of Fire Emblem Engage on the Nintendo Switch on Jan. 20. This week, players can participate in the new A Hero Rises: Fire Emblem Engage Cup Event, a contest in which players vote for their favorite heroes from the Fire Emblem series. The top 12 winners will make an appearance in the Free Summon: A Hero Rises Engage Cup summoning event at the end of January so players can make their favorite heroes five-star allies! There is also a Fire Emblem Engage sweepstakes in which 10 players can win acrylic stands of their favorite characters, including Alear, Emblem Marth, Alfred, Timerra, and more! Nintendo is also giving a gift to its rewards members this holiday season. Through Jan. 31, Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack members can get double the My Nintendo Gold points when they buy eligible digital games and DLC, earning 10% in points to go toward their next game. Nintendo is also dropping new My Nintendo physical rewards, including the My Nintendo 2023 desktop calendar, the Eight Melodies notebook and the Phase Distorter luggage tag from Earthbound, and the Kirby’s Dream Buffet keychain! Nintendo also has more than 25 games coming to the Nintendo Switch eShop this week, including Truck Simulator 3, Moorhuhn Pirates: Crazy Chicken Pirates, and Floppy Knights.
