Nintendo’s latest adventure into the world of Pokèmon is less than a month away, but fans can explore New Pokèmon Snap early.
New Pokèmon Snap will take trainers through the Lental Region — the setting of the video game — as they discover and take photos of the island’s inhabitants. Kids can join in the experience early with an interactive website that gives them a sneak peek of the game. The website gives kids the chance to get familiar with the land and Pokèmon in their natural habitats through eight locations on a map, including jungles and deserts.
The website is free for all, but kids must have a Nintendo account to access it. The site will also give kids a chance to receive My Nintendo Platinum Points to redeem for various rewards, including New Pokémon Snap items to use when the game releases on April 30. Each of the eight locations on the map will offer a digital photo frame only available on the website. Kids can download the frames to use for selfies to post on social media.
In Nintendo’s New Pokèmon Snap, trainers can explore untouched islands where wild Pokèmon live. Kids can photograph and witness unseen natural behaviors of Pokèmon in their natural habitat as they build a Pokèmon Photodex full of photos. The game will launch on April 30 for $59.99 through the Nintendo eShop on Nintendo Switch and nintendo.com.
The Explore the Letntal Region interactive website is available now through May 31.
