Neopets, an online community where kids raise virtual pets and play games, has been around for more than two decades now. But the popular ’00s site is getting a boost this year in an attempt to introduce a new generation of kids to Neopets.

One of the ways JumpStart Games plans to revamp the brand is with an animated, family-friendly Neopets series. A collaboration between Beach House Pictures and JumpStart Games, the series will feature new characters and storylines based on the Neopets virtual world. There aren’t many details yet, so stay tuned for updates.

Other parts of this year’s rebrand and relaunch of the Neopets brand include a reimagined Neopets website, a new mobile game, and Neopets merch.

Neopets originally debuted in 1999, but kids can still log on to the site to play, find new content and events, and more.
