The Marvel universe is expanding … to the moon!

Well, sort of. Marvel’s newest TV series, Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur, dropped its first official teaser trailer today. The teaser features an intro from executive producer Laurence Fishburne, who also voices the recurring role of The Beyonder, a curious and mischievous trickster.

Marvel’s Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur is an animated kids’ TV series based on the original Marvel comic books. Kids can follow the adventures of 13-year-old super-genius Lunella Lafayette — played by actress and singer Diamond White — and her 10-ton T.rex, Devil Dinosaur. After Lunella accidentally brings Devil Dinosaur into present-day New York City via a time vortex, the duo must work together to protect the Lower East Side from danger.

Although it isn’t actually set in space — Lunella gets her name from her other-worldly intellect, not from outer space — this show promises to be out of this world. Check out the first teaser below!
