Es hora de aprender. Il est temps d’apprendre. It’s time to learn! Older kids are returning to school, and although kids 0-2 have a little bit longer to go until they’re taking that yellow bus to kindergarten, they are endlessly learning every day. According to my all-time favorite Netflix show Babies (it’s educational and adorable), little tots can absorb new languages better than any other age. The best way for kids to learn is exposure, but this isn’t always easy when parents don’t know the language (Rosetta Stone is so expensive!) and classes don’t go quite the same way over Zoom. Even for parents who are bilingual, the more exposure the better. That’s where language-learning toys come in! Check out some of our favorites below.

Nicole Savas

As a kid, Nicole either wanted to be a professional toy player-wither or a writer. Somehow, as social media editor for The Toy Insider, The Toy Book, and The Pop Insider, she’s found a career as both. She's grateful to work somewhere that she can fully embrace both her love of teddy bears and her admiration for the Oxford comma. When she's not playing with toys at work, she's playing with her baby girl at home.
