SparklingCastleFrontFear not, Disney Frozen fans—a new year does not mean that you’ve seen the end of new Frozen merch. Disney’s highest-grossing property comes to life in an all new set from LEGO, Elsa’s Sparkling Ice Castle.

There’s a whole bunch of wintry theme parts of this scene to build, from the sleigh and icy hill to Olaf’s summertime picnic. The set has 292 pieces, and I was able to build it in less than an hour. The included step-by-step instructions are straightforward, so it makes it a frustration-free experience for kids, while not being super easy so it keeps them busy at the same time. Recommended for kids ages 6 and up, this set is definitely not for beginner builders, but provides just enough of a challenge for the younger ones.

FrozenCastleBackThe front of the castle is beautiful and sparkly, with fun Frozen-themed building pieces to give the set extra wintry glitter. There’s a balcony that leads into Elsa’s bedroom, connected to the ground floor by a hidden spiral staircase. The set features Queen Elsa and Princess Anna mini-doll figures, plus Olaf the snowman. It also has skates and skis that connect to the mini-dolls’ feet, so that Anna and Elsa can enjoy all of wintry weather.

The interior of the castle also features stickers and fun accessories like a ice cream bar and a vanity to hold Queen Elsa’s crown. This LEGO set is perfect for Frozen fans, since it enables kids to engage in the classic play pattern of construction, then being able to explore their imaginations and create unique adventures with some of their favorite characters. The castle set is big enough for more than one kid to play, so siblings and friends can build up this beautiful castle together.
