Kids all want what Mom and Dad have, and today Mom and Dad have some pretty cool toys- especially those toys designed by Steve Jobs 😉
This year at Toy Fair we were introduced to two very cool Ipad-like toys that we think kids will love.
The first launches this summer, it is The LeapPad by LeapFrog. Retailing for $99.99, and offering  downloadable applications starting at $7.50 and game cartridges at $24.99 this Ipad looks and operates so much like the real thing  kids are going to love it!
Competing with LeapFrog’s LeapPad and available in the fall, is The Innopad by VTech which will retail for $79.99. Like the cartridges for LeapFrog tablet, the VTech Innopad cartridges will be sold for $24.99
Which is a parent to choose?
While you have some time to decide, the decision will be tough that is sure.  As these items get closer to launch we hope to have a more in-depth review of them but here is what we can tell you from our first glance at Toy Fair-
Both tablets offer a large variety of fun and educational games kids will enjoy.
Both tablets are durable for kids.
Both are touch sensored and tilt-sensored.
Both will have games and apps featuring kid’s favorite characters
Both feature microphones and vivid graphics
Both screens are 5″
The First Glance Differences?
Besides the obvious $20 price difference-
The Innopad tablet has a microphone jack
The LeapPad has a built in camera (which may just might make the $20 difference worth it to many)
The LeapPad is slimmer
The LeapPad is part of LeapFrogs LearningPath allowing parents to track their child’s development.
