With concerts and other live performances on hold due to social distancing measures, musicians like Laurie Berkner are finding creative ways to bring the thrill of live music to kids all over the world.

To add some much-needed fun to the ongoing pandemic, Laurie Berkner is resuming her half-hour live show “Berkner Breaks” for the months of November and December. The daily shows feature music, special guests, stories, and more, and the best part? Families can watch it all at home because it’s virtual!

Each day of the week has a special theme, such as “Movement Monday” or “What’s the Word Wednesday,” guaranteed to get kids moving and learning with educational songs and activities. Special guests include fellow kids’ musicians Tim Kubart and Mike Messer. In addition to the daily live streams, Berkner will host two birthday specials on Nov. 16 and Dec. 4 for kids born in those months. This is a great alternative to traditional parties that may not be possible amid the pandemic. Kids can dress up, prepare treats, and celebrate their birthdays with Berkner and other viewers around the world.

Families can tune into the daily shows for free from Nov. 9-20 on Berkner’s Facebook and Instagram pages at 11 a.m. EST. The birthday specials will also occur at 11 a.m. EST on those same platforms.
