If you have kids in elementary school, there’s a solid chance that you’re familiar with the music and antics of Koo Koo Kanga Roo. For more than a decade, the Minneapolis-based duo of Bryan and Neil have been cranking out family-friendly kindie jams that reach a cross-generational audience thanks to an upbeat mix of comedy, pop, and hip-hop grooves. From touring as an opening act for bands such as The Aquabats! and Reel Big Fish, to partnering with GoNoodle in an effort to help educators engage more than 14 million kids each month through movement and mindfulness videos, Koo Koo Kanga Roo is doing some great things.
This past Friday, the duo’s latest single, “Hot Sauce,” debuted on Spotify, Apple Music, and most streaming services following some early spins on SiriusXM. Now there’s a video, and it’s hot — just like the new single!
Koo Koo Kanga Roo will hit the stage for a pair of shows in Minneapolis and St. Paul at the end of the month, after which they’ll hit the road for tour dates across Texas, Arizona, and California with the likes of Steve Weeks, The Que Pastas, and Kepi Ghoulie. See all the tour dates here.
