Waiting in line to ride your favorite coaster is a drag. Why not just build it yourself?

Thanks to the new K’NEX Thrill Rides Web Weaver Roller Coaster Building Set, kids ages 9 and up can construct their very own air-powered coaster. With more than 430 classic K’NEX pieces included in the kit, kids will be set up for hours of exhilarating fun.

Unlike most construction sets, the Thrill Rides Web Weaver Roller Coaster offers added play value even after it’s assembled. When kids are finished using the 400-plus pieces to construct the mammoth ride, they’ll get to stand face-to-face with a winding coaster that towers 2.5 feet tall. Using air power and batteries to propel the motorized coaster car, kids can watch as it winds around (and even directly up) the track at dizzying speeds. Kids can tilt the set on its side, or stand it up vertically for multiple ways to play. The fun doesn’t have to stop when the lights go out. Young builders can use the glow-in-the-dark stickers included in the set to decorate their motorized coaster, and watch as the car buzzes around the light-up track.

With a step-by-step color-coded instruction booklet to guide them, this construction set lets kids learn while they play. As they build, they’ll strengthen their science, technology, engineering, art, and math (STEAM) skills. Fine motor skills will earn a boost, too, thanks to the various sized gears, rods, and connectors used to construct the amusement ride.

And with a parent’s permission, kids can head over to knex.com and download instructions for a second roller coaster model and even more motorized action.
